Local Public Transport Session Announced at ETC 2018
The Local Public Transport committee’s programme is concerned with both urban and rural transport.
This year’s programme features sessions and papers on:
Strategic issues - Ownership, Governance and Operation
Public Transport as a Network - Bus network planning in medium to large Irish towns
Making the Network Work, the Importance of Interchange - quality of service in urban transport interchanges: understanding the gaps between users’ and operators’ expectations
Future Trends - automation, smart cities and the future of fare collection
The LPT programme always includes technical visits to local operations as there is always much to be learned from others’ experiences. This year, thanks to our local hosts Transport Infrastructure Ireland and Transdev Ireland, we’ll be visiting the LUAS Redcow Depot. Delegates will be given the exciting opportunity to visit the Central Control Room and the working Depot floor of Dublin’s Light Rail system.
The countdown has begun, less than two months to go, see you soon in Dublin!
There is still time, so book now!
