Transport & Economy: A glance in the rear-view mirror for shaping the future The FREE webinar is organised as the sixth event of the AET Transport and Mobility Forum (previously AET Covid-19 Conversations) and will be chaired by Dr András Munkácsy (KTI, HU), member of the AET Council, featuring the following speakers:
Prof. Gerard de Jong (NL) is a research professor at the Institute for Transport Studies at University of Leeds and a director of the independent Dutch research institute Significance. Gerard will speak on Simulating car cost changes using an indirect utility model of car ownership and annual mileage
John Siraut (UK) is an Economist and director of Economics at the international engineering and consulting group Jacobs. John will address Regulation of the railways post-privatisation
The discussion will be moderated by Dr Elisabete Arsenio, from LNEC (PT).
This is an event in celebration of the 50th European Transport Conference (ETC, previously the PTRC Summer Annual Meeting and the European Transport Forum). Both speakers won the Neil Mansfield Award at a previous conference (Gerard de Jong in 1989, John Siraut in 1997), for the best paper by an author under the age of 35.
