AET Transport & Mobility Forum - FREE Webinar Thursday 4th July
AET Transport and Mobility Forum invites you to a webinar and panel discussion on “Smart Digital Ports across Europe – Strategies and Solutions”.
A joint production by the AET Young Researchers’ and Practitioners’ Forum and AET Freight and Logistics programme committee, the webinar will feature a presentation by the Port Authority of the Eastern Adriatic Sea followed by a moderated panel discussion.
“The Port Community System: a key tool in the digitalisation strategy of the port of Trieste”
The main aim of a Port Community System is to set up a standardised platform that enables direct communications between public authorities and private stakeholders to improve processes in terms of punctuality, reliability or costs. The PCS of the Port of Trieste was originally designed around the peculiarities of its free zones management and belongs to the public Port Authority, thus guaranteeing neutrality and data ownership.
A key tool in the digitalisation strategy of the Port Authority, its PCS plays a pivotal role in creating added value for the overall Port Community, while enabling high standards of control by the involved Authorities. Its innovative functionalities allow to manage customs operations, to coordinate traffic flows and train procedures in a fully digital environment.
