ETC 2020: Global trends impacting transport
ETC 2020 Online: Global trends impacting transport
The Global trends impacting transport (GTIT) programme committee facilitates discussion on key transport system trends influenced by drivers such as demography, economy, society, technology, environment and politics. This year at ETC:
Day 1 Papers will address policy and research issues relating to current and future transport demand, focusing on uncertainties due to extraordinary circumstances (such as Covid-19 related disruptions) and on both public attitudes and behaviours, reviewing how these are expected to change.
Day 2 Inclusiveness and equity concerns in transport, focusing on vulnerable transport users, with a special session devoted to gender issues in transport aimed at explaining and strengthening female participation in all transport modes.
Day 3 Devoted to current and impending innovations in both transport process and technology, as well as the possible transport system benefits that could be obtained from them locally and globally.
More information on the GTIT programme can be found on the AET website.
Presented online, the conference will maintain its distinctive multi-disciplinary, multi-streamed format, with ETC 2020 providing a forum for debate and reflection as we navigate through these unprecedented times.
