Rail Policy and Planning

Rail Policy and Planning seeks to encourage debate on the planning, operation and economics of heavy rail passenger transport overall but also with respect to emerging challenges such as COVID 19, rail system cost and efficiency, climate change or incidents affecting security and safety.

A high-level panel, “Ensuring cross-border rail supply quality in the long-run” with train operator, national ministry and regional politicians, will be held as well as sessions on: user friendly framework, pricing and behaviour in and out of the train, how to increase rail’s market share, new operators on the market, strategies to cope with emerging challenges and in the long-run.
