European Transport Conference 2022: Global trends impacting transport
ETC 2022: 7-9 September
Global trends impacting transport
The Global Trends Impacting Transport (GTiT) programme committee seeks to deepen and disseminate information, while opening fruitful discussions on global policy and research on present challenges and endeavours, as well as lessons we have learned from recent disruptions on how resilient our transport system is in such extraordinary circumstances.
Day 1 - Presentations deal with COVID-19 impacts, beginning with two joint sessions with the Planning for Sustainable Land Use and Transport programme committee, followed by another with the Rail Policy and Planning programme committee.
Day 2 - Presentations focus on electric mobility, sustainable neighbourhoods and active mobility, alongside public engagement in local and global policy-making.
Day 3 - GTiT programme will begin initially with a discussion session devoted to long term relations between transport and geopolitics, transport planning in challenging and ever-changing circumstances, followed by a transport sustainability session.
The GTiT programme committee invites you to participate in this 50th anniversary conference, which allows us to network, socialise, exchange ideas and evoke old (though not outdated) concepts - challenging local and global trends and policies, stimulating out-of-the-box thinking, and attracting fresh views vital for transport professionals and decision-makers!
