Invitation to ETC 2024: Global Transport Trends

Global Trends impacting Transport (GTiT)

At this year’s European Transport Conference, the Global Trends impacting Transport programme committee wishes to initiate a wider consideration and dialogue on actual global transport trends and challenges, involving innovation, progress, and both viable and sustainable technology choices in regular and extraordinary circumstances, with the focus on best-practices, experiences and lessons learnt from recent and upcoming global events.

Day 1 sessions will deal with Micromobility, Shared and Autonomous Mobility, and what are the mutual implications of mobility options and decision-making actions.

Day 2 sessions will be organised into two parallel streams. The first will focus on Inclusion Issues; dealing with safety, equity and inclusion/exclusion impacts, especially on people with disabilities as vulnerable transport users, which continues with Urban Mobility Challenges gender- and age-based, also dealing with acceptance and willingness to participate in their solution. The second parallel stream of sessions will initially cover Transport System Resilience, continuing with a joint session with the Intelligent Mobility-Management and Operation programme committee on Data Analysis on Safety, and finishing with a final single stream session on Safety Issues that deals with risk factors, assessment and behavioural analysis.

Day 3 sessions will start with a parallel stream on both Transport Market Impacts and Travel Management, followed by sessions on Decarbonisation and Transport Emissions (as a joint session with Local Public Transport programme committee).

The GTiT programme committee invites you to join us at ETC 2024 where you will have the opportunity to network, socialise, engage in stimulating discussions, and exchange ideas with peers in presentation sessions and rich social activities. We invite you to be part of this traditional event, which evolves, upgrades and progresses with your views and ideas on contemporary and future transport trends and challenges!
