Unlock your Potential at ETC's Young Researchers’ & Practitioners' Forum
ETC Welcomes Young Researchers and Practitioners
The Young Researchers’ and Practitioners’ Forum (YRPF) is a special format within the European Transport Conference that is specifically aimed at young professionals. Early career researchers and practitioners will present their work to the participants of the European Transport Conference.
The YRPF is organised by young professionals, with the presentation of early-stage experimental projects and research ideas being explicitly welcome. The forum provides a format which enables constructive and comprehensive feedback, as well as additional time for discussion. The YRPF also administers the Neil Mansfield Award to the best paper presented at the conference by an author aged 35 or under.
This year, the YRPF sessions will focus on key topics including:
Digitalisation and AI
Shared mobility and public transport
Advanced Transport Modelling Approaches
Sustainability
Active Transportation
In addition to the topics above, this year we would like to highlight and welcome you to attend the workshop about System Thinking (ST) approach: a workshop for a sustainable city.
Booking details and full programme information are available on the AET website.
Networking with international colleagues
The conference provides an excellent opportunity for all participants to engage with transport experts from around the world and become part of a specialist AET community. This year’s networking opportunities and technical visits include:
Tuesday 17 September Pre-Conference Drinks
Wednesday 18 September Civic Reception
Thursday 19 September Conference Dinner
Mobility Walking Tour organised by the Antwerp Convention Bureau
Urban Logistics Bicycle Tour
ETC Running Club
Antwerp Central Railway Station Visit
Oosterweel Connection Antwerp Visit
This year we will also have a designated ‘quiet space’, for the mental wellbeing and comfort of attendees seeking some time-out during the conference.
